Introduction

One of the most important parts of the firefighting robot is the stepper motor. I began to create the mounting bracket with OnShape in order to guarantee its stability and smooth fitting.

OnShape: The Canvas of Creativity

Equipped with the specs of the motor, I used OnShape to create a mounting bracket that snugly fits my stepper motor.

Slicing and Dicing with PrusaSlicer

used PrusaSlicer to turn my on-shape design into tangible object. My slicing settings were tuned for quality using 0.20mmblue generic PLA filament, and a 15% infill.

Mounting Triumph: Stepper Motor in Place

I carefully inserted the stepper motor into its specially made bracket, waiting anxiously. The close fit was evidence of the careful design work. Now my firefighting robot had a strong spine.
