This video demonstrates an ultrasonic sensor being used to operate a servo motor. Ultrasonic sensor’s function by emitting a sound wave outside of human range of hearing and counting the microseconds until the sound waves return. This duration can be used to determine the distance between the sensor and an object. Servo motors are gearboxes that can be made to rotate based on outputs from the Arduino. In this video, the output that the servo receives is based on information coming from the ultrasonic sensor.
