My name is Kat Whaley and I am an Engineering Technology student at Western Carolina University. I am from a town outside of Raleigh, NC, where I developed a passion for engineering and teaching. I enrolled in a teaching program where I learned to help others, communicate, and share my knowledge with those around me. Alongside teaching, I was on track to finish the engineering program at my high school. Taking an Aerospace Engineering class made me realize what I wanted to do. Currently, my goal is to continue working in the engineering field post-graduation, where I hope to share my knowledge with others. I chose to attend Western Carolina University in hopes of exploring the engineering field, practicing with machinery and technology, and learning more about what I love to do.<\/p>\n
