The objective of the final project was to use what we learned about all semester to create a robot that would drive itself through a maze that would detect and extinguish a flame. the maze was 2 squares that were 18x 18 that consisted of a maze of two left turns shaped like a u with a dead end where there would be a flame to extinguish. the students expected to use what was in their arduino kit to create a functional robot that would go amount that maze and do the task. while we already kinda knew what we had been doing with each part independently just we had to make it all work together to make the robot.

My group had initiated by combining our two main talents
together since I had never worked with code prior to this class
and I am not strong in that like my partner is while I am better
With CAD design and the putting everything together and just
putting everything together like I had with other projects i’ve done in my life
We both continued to work with each other with multiple emails back
and forth about things we needed done and many changes needed
from one side or the other. And would get onto any problem that had
Come across from the other party if there was any

The parts made

We had gone through different fitment issues including 3 different hub and wheel interactions which lead to redesigning it entirely at the end with still problems happening on the printers side and carrying all of the weight with high chances of breaking near the hub area. After redesign the wheel design and hub to handle more weight and be more study we got into another problem. I had to adjust to the possible problems that could have happened with the printer since it was not capable of reaching the specifics we had needed originally. I then would need to make my own smaller hole to then fit the correct screws on which was not difficult with what I had already had on hand. which lead us to the mount for the fan which was a quick fix with the last model being

These parts were designed to make better mounts for the robot if given more time as the ones on the test and final presentation as we had to work with prototype parts for the fan mount and the mounts for the wrong relays and other electronics. Luckily we got to finalize the main components that we’re gonna need to be mounted on due to their weight and importance to stabilizing the entire project. At the end the last prototype worked correctly and any modifications I had made to prototypes after worked perfectly without any problems mechanically.
