(Choose one that is not clustered with lots of dimensions\/lines so that you don\u2019t get confused).<\/li>\n<li>Right click on the image and select \u201cSave image as\u201d in order to download it to your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Give it a meaningful title and save the image to desktop or documents, whichever you prefer.<\/li>\n<li>Then click the save button at the bottom right-hand corner.<\/li>\n<li>Go to OnShape and click Create.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-458 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5174-236x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>You\u2019ll then be asked to name the document; afterwards select create.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Sketch\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-459 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5175-222x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Then select the plane you would like to work on (I selected the Front plane for this particular design).<\/li>\n<li>Select the Icon below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-460 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5182-239x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li>Click \u2018insert image\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Select import at the very bottom.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-461 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5177-300x282.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"282\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"12\">\n<li>Select your image from your files.<\/li>\n<li>Now that you have uploaded the image to OnShape; select it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-463 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5178-237x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"237\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>14. Then use your mouse to draw the image as large as you want it to be, then click escape.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How to Scale an image in OnShape<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure that you are using the unit you intended by clicking the icon in the screenshot below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-469 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5176-300x208.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Click Workspace Units.<\/li>\n<li>Under \u2018Default length unit\u2019 select the preferred unit.<\/li>\n<li>Create a line by selecting the line symbol and dragging your mouse from one point to the next on the plane you previously chose.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-464 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5179-197x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"197\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Before clicking escape, type the length you would like (eg. 35mm) so that it corresponds with one of the line dimensions shown in the image.<\/li>\n<li>Click the dimension icon and select the sides of the image that make up its width (these are the two vertical lines of the rectangle outlining the image).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-466 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/portfolio.wcu.edu\/sklysight1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1714\/2022\/11\/IMG-5180-300x292.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Hold down on the \u2018down arrow\u2019 or \u2018up arrow\u2019 on your keyboard (while the dimension is highlighted) and shrink the image until the line you created and the line you used the dimensions of, from the image, mimic each other in length.
